Trip Format:

Independent Trips are designed for independent-minded travellers who like to travel on their own (without a DreamCar Travel escort), but still want to experience our superbly designed itineraries at reasonable prices. The itinerary and prices are always fixed, and the departure dates may be flexible or fixed depending on the specific trip.

In addition to the tours offered on our website, we can also plan trips from 1-4 days in Tuscany and 5-8 days anywhere else in Italy, from the Italian Lakes to the Amalfi coast.

Level of Activity:

Light: Strolling through city streets, country walking, light hiking in pursuit of culinary delicacies. Suitable for all ages and abilities, with some opportunities for extended walks.

Level of Luxury

Indulgent - This trip is designed with a focus on indulgence and creature comforts. The accommodation is the best available, which usually means a combination of well-known luxury hotels (Relais & Chateaux, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Design Hotels, etc) and lesser known gems with plenty of regional character and charm (from wilderness lodges to converted 17th century monasteries). The food is always first rate, with a blend of haute cuisine and regional delicacies, the transportation is discrete and comfortable, the guides are knowledgeable and charming and the events are unique and memorable.

What's Included:

• 4 days and up to 1,000km of driving the latest Ferrari models
• all accommodations on a shared twin/double room basis
• most meals (as indicated)
• fuel, car insurance, technical assistance and other on-trip support
• all transfers (including to and from Rome/Fiumincino airport) and baggage handling
• the leadership of a local tour director in an Alfa Romea Spider leading the driving
• the guidance of an Art & Leisure director to help arrange museum visits, private shopping excursions, books restaurants, etc
• spa treatments and photographic services (including a CD-rom of hi res images from the tour)
• all pre-departure materials, including documents wallets and destination details

Please note - The price of these trips generally assume that the car will be shared between two people, and thus if you want a car all to yourself, you will have to pay a hefty single supplement (often close to double the per person trip price)

NOTA BENE

We build all of itineraries as exhaustively as possible; however, we also leave room for the spontaneity of the group, the creativity of the leader, and the unpredictability of the elements. Thus, all itineraries are subject to modest modification, dependent on local weather, new opportunities, and the desires of the group.

Getting There

Flights:

We generally recommend that our travellers arrive at least a day before the trip starts in order to get their bearings and ease in to the new surroundings. Depending on your preference, you can generally choose between a day flight or an overnight flight.

For the convenience of our travellers, we would be happy to assist you with you pre or post trip travel arrangements, however, note that we charge a service fee of $150 per booking. Please call us to discuss your needs.
