Day 1 - Bellagio, Lake Como. Italy

Day 2 - Wegis, Lake Lucerne, Switzerland
This morning after breakfast, sail across Lake Como to the spectacularly situated Villa Balbianello. Jutting out on a point into the lake, the Villa was the residence of Italy's first Everest climber and more recently the setting for a scenic moment in a Star Wars film. Pick up your car in Como and drive through the staggering mountain passes into Switzerland. Arrive in Lucerne and spend the night. Hotel: Park Hotel, Wegis. Meals: BD

Day 3 - Beaune, France
After a relaxed breakfast you may decide to explore the beautiful cobbled streets of Lucerne. Set out on the road through rolling pastures into the heart of France and arrive in Burgundy. Drive through some of the world's most prestigious wine towns along the Cote de Nuit and arrive in the charming Medieval town of Beaune in time for dinner. Hotel: Le Cep, Beaune. Meals: B

Day 4 - Puligny & the Cote d'Or, France
Cycle through the picturesque stone villages of the Cote de Beaune, into Pommard, Volnay and Meursault, past the world renowned vineards and staggering lush countryside. Arrive in Puligny for a wine tasting lunch at Olivier Leflaive, one of the region's finest producers. Sample a wide variety of the wines made here with a typical Burgundian lunch of rosette, coq au vins, cheeses and dessert. Day 5 - Black Forest Germany
Drive North into Germany, through magnificent mountain terrain and pastoral villages. Arrive in Baden Baden, the picturesque town where Roman emperor Caracalla once came to ease his arthritic aches in their thermal waters. An imposing list of clients such as Queen Victoria, Kaiser Wilhelm I, Napoleon III, Berlioz, Brahms, and Dostoyevsky have come here, giving Baden-Baden its reputation as the most elegant and sophisticated playground in Germany. Day 6- Black Forest Germany
Set out to explore the magnificent Black Forest by car. This beautiful area of southwestern Germany covers a triangular section roughly 145km (90 miles) long and 40km (25 miles) wide. The mountains here come alive with fairy-tale villages which set against the small crystal lakes and the highest alpine peaks, create an idyllic picturesque landscape. Return to the hotel in time for a gourmet dinner in the elegant dining room at the hotel.Hotel: Meals: BD

Drive into Frankfurt this morning to drop off your luxury car and catch your flight home.

Natural Wonder

The Matterhorn is a classic peak, a sharp, isolated rock pyramid with steep narrow ridges jutting from surrounding glaciers. The town of Zermatt, nestled beneath the mountain's north face, is a mountaineering Mecca. One of the most frequently climbed mountains in the world, the Matterhorn's every ridge and face have been scaled, and there are now fixed ropes, ladders, and huts along the normal routes to the summit.
Culinary Delight

There are few things more comforting than making a real French Onion Soup slowly cooked, caramelised onions that turn mellow and sweet in a broth laced with white wine and Cognac. The whole thing is finished off with crunchy baked croutons of crusty bread topped with melted, toasted Gruyere cheese.

The small town of Baden Baden is located on the western foothills of the Black Forest, on the banks of the Oos river, in the region of Karlsruhe, Germany.
