Inaugural Departures - Most Driving Adventures start with an inaugural journey led by the inimitable Johnny Lucas, Travel Editor of Driven Magazine, automotive enthusiast, and legendary raconteur. Johnny will have driven the route already as part of his initial research for articles in Driven Magazine. The roads and destinations that Johnny likes best will comprise Driventravel's itineraries and you will have the opportunity to revisit them with Johnny, to provide your own critique of his trip planning skills and to contribute to the evolution and refinement of the itinerary. These first trips are considered inaugural journeys so, by definition, participants should expect plenty of surprises, most of them delightful...

Escorted Journeys - Once an itinerary has been researched by Johnny, road-tested by his fellow travellers on the inaugural journey, and deemed compelling enough to be included in our offerings, the final version will be fine-tuned by the trip planning team at Driventravel. These itineraries will then by offered as small group departures (maximum of 24 participants) on specific dates as part of the ongoing Driving Adventure Series. All escorted departures will be led by Driventravel's top guides.

Independent Trips - Some of the of the Driving Adventure itineraries will be possible only with the arrangements and exclusive access that's available to a group travelling together. Others will be offered on an Independent basis (i.e. without a guide and without a group). These Independent trips are designed for people who want the flexibility of travelling on their own and who still want to experience the superb itinerary design, great accommodations and signature quality of Driventravel.
